"Memphis Belle"

We have/will talk in class about comparisons and contrasts between "Memphis Belle" and All Quiet. One line from the movie was "Those that I fight I do not hate, those I guard I do not love." (It was from the poem he read.) What are your feelings about that quote? Are there other things you want to say or point out about the movie? INFERNO MONDAY!!! This picture is of the historical people who flew this mission, not from the movie.

That quote gives a good impact on what it actually means. I think the quote truely shows that the people you fight, you have to fight because you are against them. You don't fight them because you hate them. And "those I guard I do not love", I think it means that I basically have to protect you because you're one my side, not because I love you. Yeah, they become 'family' throughout the journey of fighting, but it's dangerous to get REAL close because they could be gone in a heartbeat. I didn't quite understand that part alot. Hahah. I may be wrong, it's only an opinion.
